2014 Municipal Election Information

Welcome to the official Election site for the Municipality of Central Elgin. This site is written and maintained by the Corporate Service Department and is the only official website providing Municipal Election information for Central Elgin’s eligible candidates and voters.  You can find the 2014 Nomination Ad here

Every four years, in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, as amended, the Municipal Clerk, as Returning Officer, conducts elections for the offices of:

  • 1 Mayor elected by all the residents of the Municipality;

  • 1 Deputy Mayor elected by all the residents of the Municipality;

  • 1 Councillor for Ward 1

  • 1 Councillor for Ward 2

  • 1 Councillor for Ward 3

  • 1 Councillor for Ward 4

  • 1 Councillor for Ward 5

Municipal Election Advanced Voting Dates and Locations

The 2014 Municipal Election will take place on Monday, October 27th.  Prior to Election Day, there will be five advance polls.
