The Port Stanley Harbour is a centre for business and tourism in Central Elgin and we're thankful for those who came out to join us and share their ideas at our latest open house, which was held on January 15th, 2020 at the Port Stanley Arena!

Currently Feedback Survey

Please take the time to submit your feedback regarding the lateset concept for the Port Stanley Harbour Secondary Plans! These plans take into account what residents and the committee have requested so far.

Port Stanley Harbour Survey

Background

A steering committee comprised of staff, council, and community members is working with Dillon Consulting to develop a secondary plan for the Port Stanley Harbour. 

Next steps include:

  • Committee Finalizing the Offical Plans
  • Council approval on the offical plans
  • Holding a Public Meeting about the Draft Harbour Plan, Urban Design Guidelines, Incentive Program and Financial Impact; and
  • Holding a Statutory Public Meeting on the Harbour Plan.

Previous Meetings/Concepts

January 15, 2020 Presentation

Dillon and Watson presented the latest concept in regards to the Port Stanley Harbours Secondary Plans, which took into account the residents/visitors and Committees latest requests.

November 14, 2019 Presentation

Dillion presented the revised: Port Stanley Harbour Plan: Revised Seconary Plan Concept & Fiscal Impact Review taking into account the Committees latest requests.

April 8, 2019 Presentation

 Dillon presented a Harbour update to Council, as well as a fiscal impact summary.

July 24, 2019 Presentation

On July 24, 2017, over 200 people attended a public workshop about the harbour.  The information presented included an overview of the process, and draft plans for land use, transportation improvements, public realms, maxium heights.  You can also view the panels that were set up, and the comments left on each draft:

A summary of all comments received for the duration of the project is also available. 

Draft versions of a Port Stanley Harbour Archaeological Review and Natural Heritage Review are also available.

Dillon also provided Council with an update on April 18, 2017.
