Are you interested in serving as an Election Worker for the municipal election?

The municipal election will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022.

To assist the election, electors will need to be supported at designated voting locations between October 1 and October 23, as well as on Election Day, October 24. Polling stations will be set up throughout the municipality in arenas and community centres.

The important positions being hired for are:

  • Deputy Returning Officer - responsible for providing electors with the proper ballot for casting their vote
  • Revision Clerk - responsible for adjusting and correcting electors information on the Voters’ List
  • Poll Clerk - responsible for verifying electors information before they receive a ballot
  • Greeter - responsible for assisting and directing electors to the Voting Room within the Voting Location

The hours of work for each day will be 9am to approximately 9pm. Election Workers will receive compensation for each day that they work during the election and will be required to attend a two hour Municipal Election Official training session in early September.
