Gravel Road Maintenance

Central Elgin has been actively grading our gravel roads to eliminate potholes and prepare for the annual application of dust suppressant. This crucial step aims to enhance the effectiveness of the dust suppressant.

We acknowledge that the ongoing grading activity, coupled with the prevailing dry weather and wind, has amplified the amount of blowing dust on many of our gravel roads.

The application of the dust suppressant is scheduled to commence next week. Furthermore, the forecasted rain during this weekend will aid in reducing the dust until the calcium is applied.
