Significant Weather Event Declaration
(Pursuant to s.16.9 of O.reg. 239/02 amended)

As of 9 p.m. Thursday, December 5, the Municipality of Central Elgin is declaring a Significant Weather Event in respect to lake effect snow. The Significant Weather Event Declaration will continue until further notice.

Users of roads and sidewalks in the Municipality are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to use caution if doing so.

The Municipality has ceased all winter control operations as of 9 p.m. and will resume again on Friday, December 6 at 3 a.m.

Residents are asked not to park on Municipal streets while snow plowing takes place and are reminded not to deposit snow on municipal roadways or sidewalks.
