Zero Percent Tax Rate Increase and $15.3 Million in Capital Investments Across the Community

CENTRAL ELGIN - Central Elgin Council has approved the 2025 Municipal Budget, with a zero percent increase to Central Elgin’s tax rate.

With the holiday season upon us, the Municipality of Central Elgin is reminding residents of services and programs that will be open and available over the holidays and sharing tips to help make the most of this winter break.

CENTRAL ELGIN – The Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Central Elgin has set its 2024 Tax Rate with a zero percent increase. With total annual expenditures expected to be approximately $35,319,336, the 2024 Budget includes major capital projects valued at approximately $15,773,728.
