Michelle Graham is serving her first term on the Municipality of Central Elgin’s council and resides in the Village of Port Stanley. Michelle acknowledges that Port Stanley is located on the traditional territory shared by the Haudenosaunee, Anishinabek, Lunaapeewak, and Atiwonderonk (Neutrals) peoples. This land is part of the McKee Treaty 2, signed in 1790. Michelle recognizes the deep history and ongoing contributions of Indigenous Peoples to this region and she is committed to respectful and meaningful engagement.

Michelle is proud to contribute to the community through various leadership roles. Michelle has been a member of the Finance Committee for three consecutive years and currently chairs the Governance Committee. Michelle also serves as Chair of the Non-Profit Housing Board, and sits on both the Heritage Board, the Bandshell Steering Committee and the community group The Village People Board, while collaborating with the PSVA, 200 Trees Committee and the Bandshell Committee. Michelle previously chaired the Port Stanley 200 Years Board, leading efforts to commemorate the village’s rich history. Michelle also writes a monthly article for The Port Stanley Villager, keeping residents informed and engaged.  Michelle's community participation is reflective of her commitment to fiscal responsibility within MCE, affordable housing, responsible and transparent governance, cultural preservation, and community vibrancy. Michelle is equally as committed to ensuring good governance and fairness for the entire municipality including Wards outside of her Ward and can be seen attending events throughout the entire Municipality regularly.

Outside of council, Michelle works full-time as a Medical Rehabilitation Consultant, specializing in workplace mediation and solution-driven negotiations with insurers and employers across Canada. This role brings a unique lens to Michelle's public service—focused on collaboration, problem-solving, and achieving practical outcomes.

Most mornings, Michelle can be found walking through the village, talking to residents, hiking the local naturalized areas and/or kayaking the harbour while staying connected with neighbours, ratepayers and the pulse of the community. Michelle enjoys a competitive round of golf at local golf courses, relaxing with a good book on the porch, and taking in live music events around town.
