The Municipality of Central Elgin is introducing a new reduced-rate seasonal parking pass to provide residents with more affordable access to parking in Port Stanley.

The resident seasonal parking pass is available exclusively to Central Elgin residents at a cost of $65.00. The pass is limited to one per vehicle owned by a resident of Central Elgin.

Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may be used in any paid municipal parking lot in Port Stanley, with the exception of the Boat Launch Parking Lot.

“We’re pleased to offer this new parking pass to residents so they can enjoy the summer season in beautiful Port Stanley with greater ease and affordability,” says Mayor Andrew Sloan.

Paid parking in municipal lots is in effect from May 1 to September 30, daily between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Boat Launch Parking Lot continues to be monitored and enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Non-resident seasonal parking passes are available at a 2026 rate of $130.00. This pricing structure ensures residents benefit from a reduced rate at approximately half the cost of the non-resident pass.

Daily parking rates for the 2026 season will be structured based on proximity to the beach:

  • $30.00 for Main Beach and Lotus Lane Lots
  • $25.00 for Old Ball Park, Little Beach, and West Pier Lots
  • $20.00 for East Pier and West Pier Expansion Lots

In addition to paid municipal parking options, free on-street parking is available throughout Port Stanley. Free parking is also available at the Visitors Centre Lot at 199 Carlow Street and the Municipal Lot located at 219 Colonel Bostwick Drive, providing additional options for residents and visitors. Drivers are reminded to be mindful of posted time restrictions and signage on individual streets, as restrictions vary by location.
