Planning Services

Planning services are now delivered directly by the Municipality of Central Elgin. Going forward, all planning-related inquiries and applications can be directed to us — we’re here to help.

This change marks the completion of our long-standing partnership with the Central Elgin Planning Office (CEPO), which was administered through an agreement with the City of St. Thomas. We thank CEPO staff and the City of St. Thomas for their many years of support and collaboration in helping to guide growth and development in our community.

As we transition these services, we are building our in-house planning team while continuing to work with experienced planning professionals to ensure there’s no disruption to the service and support you receive. This approach allows us to enhance coordination with other departments, maintain a high level of responsiveness, and ensure that planning decisions are closely aligned with Central Elgin’s unique needs and priorities.
