Fall is here! The Municipality of Central Elgin is sharing updates on public washrooms, parking, and recreational facilities to help you enjoy the season.

Port Stanley Visitor Centre Washrooms:
  • The Port Stanley Visitor Centre public washrooms, located at 199 Carlow Road, are now open year-round, daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Approved in the 2025 Municipal Budget, this change provides convenient washroom access for visitors in every season.
Park and Arena Washrooms:
  • Washrooms at municipal parks will be winterized and closed after the Thanksgiving weekend.
  • Washrooms will remain available at Belmont Arena and Port Stanley Arena during regular operating hours, daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Port Stanley Pier:
  • The Port Stanley Pier will close for the season on November 1.
  • Municipal Parking Lots in Port Stanley:
  • The last day of paid parking in Municipal Parking Lots is September 30. Starting October 1, parking will be free until next summer.
Parks and Sports Fields:
  • All parks and sports fields can be enjoyed year-round.
  • Multi-court netting will be removed at the end of October, weather permitting.
Public Skating:

Welcome back, skaters! Lace up your skates and enjoy public skating at our arenas this season.

Belmont Public Skating

  • Sundays: 2 – 3:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays:
    •  Adult Skating (18+): 9 –10 a.m.
    •  All Ages: 10 –11:30 a.m.

Port Stanley Public Skating

  • Sundays: 1 – 2:30 p.m.
  • Thursdays:
    • All Ages: 1:30–3 p.m.
    • Adult Skating (18+): 3 –4 p.m.
