The Municipality of Central Elgin has retained the engineering firm R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited to complete a topographic survey for streets within Port Stanley:

SYDENHAM STREET, SMITH STREET, EDITH CAVELL STREET, GEORGE STREET, CARLOW STREET, CARLOW ROAD S, MAUD STREET, BESSIE STREET, WILLIAM STREET

This survey is being completed in support of the engineering design and road reconstruction work for which dates have not yet been finalized. Future notices will be delivered including details regarding construction timing.

Over the coming weeks, residents should be aware of the consultant’s survey staff on site.  The topographical survey will be measuring features related to the upcoming engineering design.  The preference is to collect surface features beyond the Town’s road right of way to include outside elevations measurements at the front corners of houses and garages and any nearby front yard features such as trees or gardens.

The majority of work is related to storm water infrastructure improvements.

We want to remind you that this project is still in the early stages, so the surveyors on site won’t be able to answer questions or give details about the proposed design or reconstruction work. In the meantime, should you have any questions or concerns, they may be directed to the following individuals:
