Effective July 16, a fire ban is in effect in Central Elgin. Open air burning is not permitted at this time.
Due to the Orange Air Quality Warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada, lifeguards are not on duty today, Thursday July 16, at Port Stanley Main Beach.
The dredging will start at the mouth of the Harbour and at the lighthouse, extending upstream to the King George VI Lift Bridge. The dredged material will be loaded onto bottom dump scows and deposited east of Port Stanley Harbour in the lake.

NOTICE is hereby given that Council of the Municipality of Central Elgin has granted an exemption to By-law No. 212, being a By-law to control noise in the Municipality of Central Elgin to complete a 24 hour dredging project, that will be taking place between July 1, 2023 and January 1, 2024.
