CENTRAL ELGIN – At its Regular Meeting dated Monday, December 11, 2023, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Central Elgin unanimously approved the submitted low tender bid from Cassidy Construction London Ltd. for the Front Street Slope Stabilization and Reconstruction Project in the amount of $4,517,312.

Belmont, ON – On Friday, local MPP Rob Flack met with the representatives of the Municipality of Central Elgin to hear more about the $425,000 Community Building Fund grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) that was used to add an accessible elevator and other upgrades to the Belmont Community Centre and Arena. The Belmont Arena elevator upgrade project was completed in July 2023.

(Enbridge Gas), the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council (FMPFSC) and Central Elgin Fire Rescue Services announced they are working together to improve home safety and bring fire and carbon monoxide-related deaths down to zero.
