Did you know that the Municipality offers battery recycling at our main office, as well as both the Belmont & Port Stanley arenas!

If you have batteries you're looking to recycling please bring them to one of off drop of locations and we'll take care of them for you!

Permits for Overnight Parking

Despite the fact that there is no overnight parking in the municipality (all year round). We do offer 'Residential Overnight Parking Permits' to residents in order to be exempt from the overnight parking ban during the winter months (subject to specified terms and limitations). LAST CALL Please remember that this coming Monday is our final Leaf & Yard Waste pick up date! For residents who do not live in built up areas of Central Elgin. You may take your leaves to St. Thomas Recycling (330 South Edgeware Road). Please remember:

  • All leaves must be in biodegradable paper yard waste bags and on the curb by 7am (Plastic bags will not be accepted)
  • Limbs and branches must be bundled in lengths of 1 metre or less.
