Are You On The Naughty or Nice List?
Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Foam Packaging (commonly referred to as Styrofoam) is usually the packaging you see for computers, electronics, appliances, toys , etc. and is not recyclable.
We encourage residents to place this material in their garbage or take their packaging to The St. Thomas Community Recycling Centre ( located at 330 S Edgeware Road, St. Thomas) where they can dispose of it for free.

Westminster Mutual - Free Public Skate on Monday December 20, 2021

Thank you to Westminster Mutual for offering free public skating at the Belmont Arena for family and friends on Monday, December 20th from 11:30 to 1pm.
We also have our regular public skating dates and times for the arenas during this month.
Holidays Skating (Both Arenas)
December 20-23 from 11:30am – 1pm
December 27-30 from 11:30am - 1pm

Christmas bows and ribbons are a nice touch to add to a wrapped gift, however these items are not recyclable.
 
Why you may ask?
The plastic-paper composite makes it hard to recycle, as well as the glue that gives bows their stickiness. However, these items can be reused, with tape being a good alternative if the adhesive wears off!
